I knew that Rusko was performing at Cypress Hill‘s Smokeout Festival 2012 and I always thought it was weird and didn’t make sense, but now it makes complete sense. Apparently Cypress Hill and Rusko are collaborating on an EP, simply called Cypress X Rusko, which will drop in April. The music video for the first single, Roll It, Light It, just dropped and its pretty crazy. Using real footage and a good amount of very well done motion graphics, the video delivers quite the trip. Although the mix of hip-hop and electronic production could be off-putting at first, but according to Sen Dog of Cypress Hill, “I think dubstep is a natural progression of hip-hop. Especially the way that we formulated it with Rusko. There’s definitely some roughness to it”. Take that as you will.
