If you guys have been following my blog, you know that I’m a huge fan of Donald Glover in both film and music. Whenever I see his music pop up on the internets, I tend to try to listen to it right away. Its rare to see him as a feature, but it has happened a couple times. Usually the feature tracks aren’t so great, but this new track by newcomer Josh Osho is pretty darn catchy.
In terms of musicality, its nothing new, but its just a good, solid feel good song with a verse by Childish Gambino. Josh sounds almost exactly like John Legend too, and his style isn’t too different either. It sounds like what an updated, more pop’d out John Legend would sound like today. Donald comes in hard on this track (pause), maybe a little too hard for something so melodic. I still love this track though and I wouldn’t be surprised if it blows up this summer. I’m going to be keeping Josh Osho in my radar.
And this is how I feel about this song right now.
Honestly, I just wanted an excuse to post that gif because its fantastic.
