Apparently, someone hired about 151 different artists to each create their own rendition of the original 151 Pokemon and 6 artists to draw 6 different characters from the series (Ash, Misty, Brock, Nurse Joy, Team Rocket, and Professor Oak). Just the idea of a project like this made me giddy like a little school girl. The Pokemon Battle Royale is an exhibit at the Light Grey Art Lab in Minneapolis, Minnesota. An experiment, of sorts, that ended in an absolutely fantastic success.
The exhibit opened on April 20 with a crowd that filled the space to capacity and out the door. I’ve posted a few of my favorites from the showcase here but you can see the full gallery HERE. You can also buy the prints online HERE. Can someone donate money so I can buy ALL OF THEM?!
