The concept behind the new logo and marketing is a two layered image where the top layer is unveiling the bottom layer, much like how DC’s heroes take off their masks to unveil their true identities.

The logo shows the letter D peeling back its upper right corner as the letter C, under, is revealed. The logo also will change depending on the comics it is on. This one is for the Green Lantern, for example.

It seems that all marketing pieces will also feature a sort of unveiling aspect to it as well.

I’m still not sure what I think about this new rebranding of the huge comic book empire but I’ll let you guys know once they start rolling it out in March 2012.
